Privacy
Your photos stay yours.
Last updated October 12, 2026
This policy explains what PhotoGTP (run by 9530-4945 Québec inc., “we”) collects when you use photogtp.com and the PhotoGTP apps, why we need it, who processes it for us, and how you can see or delete it. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name and profile photo if your sign-in provider shares them. Passwords are handled by Clerk; we never see them.
- Your photos and edits: the photos you upload or take, the results we create, the instructions you type, project names and editor settings, and a history of your AI edits so you can go back to earlier versions.
- Plan and usage: whether you’re on Free or Pro, how many AI edits and projects you’ve used, and when.
- Payments: if you buy Pro, Stripe processes your payment through Clerk. We receive your subscription status, not your card details.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider records technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the service.
On your phone, the app only opens your camera or photo library when you choose to, and only uses the photos you pick. It asks before saving results to your library.
How we use it
- To run your account and sign you in.
- To store your projects and create the edits, tools and videos you ask for.
- To apply plan limits and process Pro subscriptions.
- To answer your support requests.
- To keep PhotoGTP secure and working, and to understand overall usage in aggregate.
We don’t use your photos to train AI models, and we don’t look at your photos except when you ask us for help with one, or when we must to investigate abuse or comply with the law.
AI processing
When you run an AI edit, tool or video, we send the photo and your instruction to the AI provider that does the work (see the table below), and store the result in your project. The apps ask for your permission the first time. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. AI results can be imperfect, and every edit stays in your history so you can undo it.
Who processes your data
We use these service providers to run PhotoGTP. They handle data only to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What they do for us | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Sign-in, account management and subscription billing | Email, name, profile photo, sign-in method, subscription status |
| Stripe (through Clerk Billing) | Processes Pro payments | Payment details you enter at checkout. We never see your full card number. |
| Convex | Our database | Your account record, projects, prompts, AI edit history and usage counts |
| ImageKit | Stores and delivers your photos; runs Remove background, Extend and Enhance | Photos you add and the results we create |
| Replicate | Runs the AI models that edit photos (FLUX by Black Forest Labs) and make videos (Hailuo by MiniMax) | The photo being edited and your instruction |
| Vercel | Hosts the website and our servers; privacy-friendly page statistics | Technical request data such as IP address and browser type; anonymous page views |
| Unsplash | Background photo search in the web editor | The search words you type |
| Google or Apple | Only if you choose to sign in with them | Your name and email (Apple lets you hide your email) |
Most of them are based in the United States, so your data may be stored and processed outside Québec and Canada, where privacy laws may differ. We choose providers with strong security practices and limit what we send them to what each service needs.
How long we keep it
- Your account data and projects are kept while your account exists.
- Deleting a project removes it from your account.
- Deleting your account permanently deletes your sign-in, profile, projects, prompts, AI edit history and the photos and results we stored. We keep only anonymous numbers (such as how many AI edits were made and which one-tap ideas were used) that can’t be linked back to you.
- Payment records are kept by Stripe and Clerk as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your information in the app or on the website, and you can delete your account at any time: in the app under Account → Delete account, or on the website in your profile menu under Delete account.
Depending on where you live (for example Québec, the rest of Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may also have the right to access your data, correct it, get a copy in a usable format, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it. Email us at omar@photogtp.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to your privacy regulator, such as Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
PhotoGTP is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and our providers protect stored data. No service is perfectly secure, so if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
